BRIDGING THE GAP WITH MUSIC FESTIVAL
SEEKING TALENT

July 13th - 14th 2012

 

Local and regional bands wishing to be considered for the Mackinaw Area Visitor’s Bureau New Music Festival “Bridging the Gap with Music” on July 13th and July 14th, 2012 please send contact information and a CD to Mackinaw Area Visitors Bureau, 10800 W. US 23 Hwy, Mackinaw City, MI 49701, Attention: Robb DerHammer-Events Coordinator.  If you have YouTube music videos you would like us to consider, rather than mailing a CD, please let us know.  Some bands will be featured entertainment, but there is room for new musicians that wish to showcase their bands in a venue for all generations and music types.  Since this is our first year for this event, it is our intention to make it fun, fun, fun!  We will work with you as best we can to get you into the music lineup.  We will also be featuring a karaoke contest, where one winner will be chosen on the last day of the event, so even if you have no band, but wish to demonstrate your talent through a karaoke rendition, please consider participating.  Feel free to contact me at the address above, or via email at robb@mackinawcity.com.  Mackinaw City is a great place to have fun.  Come join us!

THIS EVENT IS FOR PEOPLE INTERESTED IN THE ENJOYMENT OF MUSICAL TALENT, FEATURING LOCAL BANDS & INVITING OUR  VISITORS TO SHOWCASE THEIR OWN TALENTS BY INTERACTING WITH THE MUSIC THROUGH KAROAKE.  VISITORS OF ALL AGES,  BRIDGING THE GAP OF TIME THROUGH THE BEAUTY OF MUSIC IN AN AREA OVERLOOKING THE BRIDGE AND THE STRAITS OF MACKINAC, WHICH CAN BEST BE APPRECIATED IN MACKINAW CITY, MI.

TWO DAY EVENT: BANDS BEGIN @1:00 PM & PLAY THROUGH 10:00 PM
KAROAKE EVERY TWO HOURS BETWEEN BAND PERFORMANCES

  • $10.00 karoke fee-winner takes half of all entry fees as grand prize
  • $25.00 for two day festival pass (bands and karaoke contestants are free)

LOCATION CONKLING HERITAGE PARK, MACKINAW CITY, MI
BRING YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, CHAIRS, OR BLANKETS TO ENJOY A WEEKEND FULL OF TALENT & FUN!

NO FOOD OR BEVERAGES CAN BE BROUGHT ONTO THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS - NO OVERNIGHT CAMPING ON THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS.
