The Great Lakes Boat Building School, located in the beautiful Les Cheneaux Islands of northern Michigan, offers a diverse program designed “to teach quality wooden boat building skills, to preserve craftsmanship and continue our Great Lakes heritage”. From summer workshops to a full-time, nine month curriculum, the school will feature classes in basic woodworking, joinery, basic design and lofting, restoration, repair, small craft construction, and modern day materials and techniques.

Fun for the Whole Family! In Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. Only 40 minutes west of the Mackinac Bridge on US-2. See Live black bear, alligator, cougar, bobcat, wolves, wallaby, camel, reindeer, whitetail deer, sika deer, river otter & more. Feed the deer, goats, and llama. Enjoy a walk on cedar mulched trails under mature pine trees in a Natural park-like setting. Visit the zoo Gift Shop filled with wildlife related items for all ages. Open 7 days a week from April 1st until September 30th from 10am until 6pm. Open weekends (Fri. Sat. and Sun.) in March and November from 10am until 5pm.
